The Golden Globe Awards
The 2008 movie awards season starts on January 13 with the Golden Globe Awards. Seen by many as a preview of who might eventually win an Oscar a month or so later, the GGs are, however, a bit different from the Academy Awards: movies and performances are divided into two main categories - drama and musical/comedy - and TV productions are also contemplated. Here are the nominees for next year's edition. And here is a reading (scanning) activity to help you practise finding information in a text.
